Das Symposium Photovoltaische Solarenergie findet zum 25. Mal statt. Damit feiert die zentrale deutsche Anwendertagung ein Jubiläum, auf das sie stolz sein kann. Ich möchte Sie ganz herzlich zu diesem Ereignis einladen. Schwerpunkte der Tagung sind Information und Erfahrungsaustausch über den Stand der Technik weltweit sowie die nationale und internationale Marktentwicklung. Kompetente Redner mit technischem sowie ökonomischem Hintergrund präsentieren die neuesten Ergebnisse. Das Symposium lebt vom Dialog zwischen Forschern, Entwicklern, praxiserfahrenen Anwendern und der Industrie und von der offenen Form der Auseinandersetzung mit aktuellen Fragestellungen. The 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition

During the 24th EU PVSEC, many new trends and developments in photovoltaics were presented and up for discussion. Among the many topics covered, the debate centred on new cell concepts for the future, increased automation in production, and standardisation. New manufacturing processes and production machinery for silicon and thin-film technology were showcased on the 65,000 sqm exhibition area. Numerous exhibitors even displayed entire production lines, some of them operating. Cutting-edge measurement and control equipment for quality assurance in cell manufacturing was also unveiled. Production samples of large panels of glass with a photovoltaic finish illustrated the rapid advances being made in the field of thin-film solar technology. The 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition is the largest trade show in the photovoltaics industry, and also the one with the highest number of operational exhibits. The international scientific Conference of the 24th EU PVSEC, which ran from September 21 to 25, 2009, attracted 4295 delegates. A broad spectrum of topics spanning every area of photovoltaics was on offer on each of the conference's five days.

ABSTRACT: The combination of PV and hydro power opens up new potential in photovoltaic power generation. The hydro electric reservoir can be the platform and the storage for a grid-connected PV plant. In this paper, a scenario and a case study for such a PV system in Switzerland is discussed. In co-operation with a Norwegian specialist team on arctic research, a floating PV platform will be designed and constructed. Several new aspects of PV power generation have to be analysed. The goal of this project is to establish a pilot plant in Switzerland and in Norway, to gain further knowledge and experience in the field of “PV on the Water”.

Die jährlich stattfindende Veranstaltung richtet sich an Wissenschaftler, Forscher und praktisch Tätige in Industrie und Verwaltung, aber auch an Vertreter von Politik, nationalen und internationalen staatlichen und nicht-staatlichen Organisationen (NGOs), die sich mit Fragen der Lärmprävention sowie mit innovativen Ansätzen der Lärmbekämpfung befassen. Ziel der Konferenz ist es, durch den interdisziplinären Erfahrungsaustausch zwischen den Verantwortlichen im Bereich des Straßen-, Schienen- und Luftverkehrs wirksamere Strategien zum Schutz der Bevölkerung vor Lärm zu entwickeln und diese schneller umzusetzen. Paper Th. Nordmann (3 Seiten PDF) Der BASt Leitfaden für Behörden von TNC – Wie können wir damit den Durchbruch bei der Photovoltaik Schallschutzanwendung in Deutschland erreichen? Trotz des grossen Anwendungspotentials haben sich bis heute Photovoltaik-Schallschutzanlagen, das heisst die Kombination der Umweltschutzmassnahme und der gleichzeitigen umweltfreundlichen Stromproduktion in grossem Umfang in Deutschland bis jetzt nicht durchgesetzt. Die Gründe dazu sind vielseitig. Ein wichtiges Element ist die noch fehlende Erfahrung und damit verbundene Unsicherheit für die Tiefbaubehörden bei der Genehmigung, Finanzierung und Realisierung solcher kombinierter Projekte. TNC Consulting AG wurde von der Bundesanstalt für Strassenwesen BASt beauftragt, einen Behördenleitfaden zu entwickeln und bereitzustellen, um hier Erleichterungen im Prozess für die beteiligten Landesbehörden zu erreichen. Anlässlich der Konferenz Verkehrslärm 2008 werden Zwischenresultate und die vorgesehenen Werkzeuge und Hilfsmittel erstmals einem Fachpublikum vorgestellt. Die Teilnehmer der Konferenz haben die Möglichkeit, aus ihrer Sicht das geplante Instrumentarium zu kommentieren und Verbesserungsvorschläge zu formulieren.

Plenary Session 5BP.1 PV Systems Presentation - 5BP.1.5 Thomas Nordmann • Luzi Clavadetscher • TNC Consulting AG ABSTRACT: The scope of this paper is to give an overview of the system costs of 527 grid-connected PV systems from the data collected over a 18-month-period as part of the IEA PVPS Task 2 Economic Survey and operational performance of 461 grid-connected PV systems from the IEA PVPS Database. The datasets analysed are mainly from small residential grid-connected PV systems and also from some larger grid-connected PV systems from 11 countries for the cost data and from 17 countries for the operational data. They include freestanding, roof top and façade integrated systems. The PV plants investigated were built between 1991 and 2006. The monitored data from the 461 PV systems comprises datasets from 1 544 operational years. Analysis of the data available shows a trend towards lower system cost and a higher performance ratio (PR) over time. This paper is a summary of the IEA PVPS Task 2 Report T2-06-2007 [3].

Die »Tri Alpe Adria« richtet sich an die professionelle Bauszene in Kärnten, der Steiermark, Norditalien und Slowenien und wird dreisprachig durchgeführt. Veranstalter sind die Vorarlberger Tri-Gründer, die Passivhausexperten Drexel und Weiss und stromaufwärts Photovoltaik sowie die Kärntner Unternehmen Weissenseer Holz-System-Bau und der Dämmstoffexperte Sto, die bisher für die Passivhaustagung in Weissensee verantwortlich zeichneten. Beide Tagungen werden zweijährig durchgeführt werden. Kompetenz im Bereich energieeffizienter Architektur ist ein zunehmend starkes Argument im Wettbewerb. Unsere hohen Energiekosten wirken sich im Althausbereich besonders drastisch aus. Durch die ständig steigenden Preise für fossile Energieträger wird die Sanierung zu einem echten ökonomischen Faktor und wichtigen Auftragspotential für Architekten. The IEA Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme (PVPS) is one of the collaborative R & D Agreements established within the IEA, and since its establishment in 1993, the PVPS participants have been conducting a variety of joint projects in the application of photovoltaic conversion of solar energy into electricity. The mission of the IEA PVPS programme is: To enhance the international collaboration efforts which accelerate the development and deployment of photovoltaic solar energy as a significant and sustainable renewable energy option. The underlying assumption is that the market for PV systems is continuously expanding from the earlier niche markets of remote applications and consumer products, to the rapidly growing markets for building integrated and other diffused and centralised grid-connected PV generation systems. This market expansion requires the availability of and access to reliable information on the performance of PV systems, technical and design guidelines, planning methods, financing, etc. to be shared with the various actors. The overall objective of Task 2 is to improve the operation and sizing, electrical and economic output of photovoltaic power systems and sub-systems by collecting, analysing and dissemination information on their technical performance and reliability, providing a basis for their assessment, and developing practical recommendations.
The current members of the IEA PVPS Task 2 include: Austria, Canada, European Commission, European Photovoltaic Industry Association, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America and Poland as an observer.
COST AND PERFORMANCE TRENDS IN GRID-CONNECTED PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS AND CASE STUDIES IEA PVPS Task 2
This technical report has been prepared under the supervision of PVPS Task 2 by: Luzi Clavadetscher, Thomas Nordmann, TNC Consulting AG, Erlenbach, Switzerland; This report gives an overview of the system costs of PV systems, based on data collected as part of the IEA PVPS Task 2 Economic Survey and of the operational performance, based on data from the IEA PVPS Performance Database [1]. The report shows the development of the actual PV system cost and the performance over time for grid-connected PV systems built between 1991 and 2005. The results for the grid-connected PV systems investigated show a trend towards lower system cost and increased performance over this period.

During this time considerable progress has been achieved not only on the PV module technology, but also in the construction of photovoltaic noise barriers (PVNB). The first plant was built in Switzerland in 1989; at present there are numerous plants with a total documented power of about 850 kWp in operation in Europe. This paper gives a short overview on the progress and state of the art of PVNB in Europe.

For the 21st time, scientists, politicians and industry representatives will be meeting for the European solar energy conference at the beginning of September. Holding the exhibition in Germany has great symbolic power, as Germany presently accounts for 60% of the worldwide market. The organiser of the conference, which is supported by various bodies including UNESCO, the European Commission, the German Ministry for the Environment and the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA). The Conference had more then 2700 participant!
