Building integration

Roofs and facades are ideal surfaces for mounting photovoltaic power-generation systems. A TNC project received the Swiss Solar Prize in 1999, namely the photovoltaic system at the Stadelhofen Cantonal School in Zurich. Another pioneering system is that on the facade of the Swissmill building in Zurich, which was completed as part of the solar power exchange and became its first power supplier in 1996.
